  7. It makes me laugh when people say “Oh, Geography, that’s just memorizing lists of capitals”. But even that would have been more than the amount of geography taught in US public schools, in other words, none. I read that half of American high-school entrants can’t locate their home state on a mp without labels, I really hope that was an exaggeration. I hope curricula will improve in all the sciences: physical, biological and social, here in the US. Our kids are being underserved, most can’t compete with those of other countries in terms of science learning.

  8. There was a corresponding increase in the use of quantitative analysis in Geology during this period as well, perhaps even beginning a bit earlier. Like Geography, Geology had been, before the 20th C, predominantly a qualitative science.

  13. Sir I have one doubt with respect to cristaller's central place theory. In transportation principle k=4 why sir the central places are placed on middle of sides on complementary area? Many saying that it will reduce distance but couldn't understand!!! Help me please
