Sir while reading Savinder Singh came across the statement that plateau covers around 33% of global earth surface. Is this statement correct? Just need your clarification.

PS: A clarification as found out in the lecture, Piedmont plateaus are formed as part of the orogeny i.e. mountain building process only NOT depositional process… Piedmont deposits are formed as part of denudation of the adjoing mountains at their base, that deposit on these plateau of denudation.
