    Can we say that the solar constant is a result of sunspots? As changes in both of these happen after every 11 years ?

  4. sir minimum insolation in the northern hemisphere must be in winter solstice? why equinox. @10:53 can you please explain. when the sun will be in Capricorn then only the minimum insolation will be received in the middle latitude zone of the northern hemisphere. I hope you understood my question?

    Perihelion occurs on 3rd Jan, means Sun is nearest to the sun…, And Aphelion occurs on 4th July, Sun is farthest to the Earth

    Now the question is, Why cold is there in January although the sun is nearest to earth and why dry and scorching hot is there in June although the sun is farthest to earth?

  12. Hi. Excellent video. One doubt – (10:48) why do the middle latitudes receive minimum insolation at equinoxes? Since the angle of incidence is lower on solstices (eg. the sun is at its lowest in the northern mid-latitudinal sky on winter solstice (22 dec), why is insolation minimum on 21 march (vernal equinox)?

  15. Sir i want to ask, about definition of solar radiation/insulation at the first slide, there is rate 1,86,000 miles etc.. that's the odd one, that means 1,860,000 or 186,000 miles?? why the point is in between 86 which is 2 number, not 3 number
